Minister of Home Affairs Dr Leon Schreiber, MP, has invited members of the public to nominate individual persons or interested parties to serve on the Immigration Advisory Board for a period of four years.

In terms of Section 4(2)(a)(v) of the Immigration Act, 2002 (Act No. 13 of 2002), Dr Schreiber can appoint up to five individuals on the basis of their knowledge, experience and involvement pertaining to immigration law, control, adjudication or enforcement.

Nominations must be accompanied by:

  • Confirmation from the nominee that he or she accepts the nomination; and
  • A comprehensive CV demonstrating the nominee’s knowledge, experience and involvement pertaining to immigration law, control, adjudication or enforcement.

Nominations should be delivered to the Department of Home Affairs as follows:

  • Hand delivered to the Department of Home Affairs, 230 Johannes Ramokhoase Street, Hallmark Building (c/o old Proes and Andries Street), Pretoria, 0001 for the attention of Ms Rachelle Reyneke (T: 012 406 4453), or
  • Mailed to the Department of Home Affairs at Private Bag X114, Pretoria, 0001, or
  • Emailed to: Reyneke@dha.gov.za.
